The Seaside Motel 2010

The Seaside Motel, with its eye-catching cinematography and colourful art direction, is ironically titled precisely because the sea is nowhere near the shabby, four-room lodge where the action takes place. The motel guests occupy each of the rooms, and they are a strange lot: gangsters, prostitutes and other low-lives, including our lead Kamedara (heartthrob Ikuta Toma). The thought provoking ending defies convention to lift this above the genre norms.
